The Governor’s Chair for High Performance Energy Practices in Urban Environments is Philip Enquist, partner in charge of urban design and planning, and leader of the Global City Design Practice at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
Enquist’s work in the US includes numerous planning strategies for leading universities, the Chicago Central Area Plan, the Millennium Park Master Plan in Chicago, and the District of Columbia Height Master Plan Modeling Analysis.
A select research team serves with Enquist in the Governor’s Chair appointment. The team members administer projects through UT’s College of Architecture and Design and work with ORNL’s Buildings Technology Research & Integration Center to push new energy-efficient building products to the market.
